John Everett has worked as a photojournalist in the Houston area for almost 30 years. For 25 of those years, he was a staff photographer for the Houston Chronicle, the largest paper in the southwestern United States. Newspaper photographers are called to photograph virtually every situation imaginable, often with a looming deadline and the next hour’s assignment waiting. Working quickly in less than ideal lighting, weather and logistical conditions, they must make photographs which attract the eye to the larger product.

Now a full-time free-lance photographer, John has turned his eye for the captivating image into a personal business. Flexibility, adaptability, and the willingness to turn difficult situations into great images is his strength. Working in the digital medium, John has continued to provide clients with high-quality images in portraiture, corporate event and product photography as well as photojournalism.
